Sifting like wheat (Luke 22:31-34)

Today in Luke 22 I read something very interesting. Jesus tells His disciples that Satan have asked to sift each of them like wheat. This reminds me of Job and how God allowed this to happen with Job too. But Satan was not allowed to touch Job. Sometimes everything will be perfect and  then we might get moments where it feels like everything is going wrong. I am sure God allows Satan to sift us like wheat too. The reason for this being that God wants us to stay in faith and keep our eyes on Him. The wheat and the chaff will be separated and the chaff will be blown away! During hard times keep your eyes on God. Praise and worship God and pray (if you can pray in tongues!). Don’t be scared! It is just a test! Stay focused on God! God does not tempt us but He allows us to be temped. It is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more that you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure”. In 1 Peter 5:8, Peter warns us “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour”. Keep your eyes on God and stay in faith!
