Dancing with my Father

Today I saw a picture of a little girl dancing with her father. It reminded me about life and how we can dance with God. A relationship with God is a lot like dancing. Have you ever seen 2 people dance? One leads while the other follows. Both cannot lead, it will be a disaster. The person that follows the other person knows to follow the cues. Dancing with God is the same. He leads us and this requires obedience. He will guide us if we are willing to follow. We cannot let Him lead and then try and lead too. That does not work. It all comes down to trust. Today I want to dance with my Daddy.

Bending time

This morning as I was driving to work I was really really late! My work starts at 8am. I got a bit nervous! So I prayed out loud and told God I am late and asked Him if He can please help me to be on time. I started praising and worshipping God. I sang out loud with my car radio. So first I had to take my daughter to school. The traffic just got worse and worse! By the time I reached her school it was already 7:50am. I took her inside to her class. I left her school at 7:58am. I continued praising God and thought “Ok, so I am already late. So I am not going to start driving fast like a maniac to get so work on time. I’m going to drive slow and just sing to God”. I did this too, I drove slow and just sang my heart out to God. It is about 15 minutes drive back to my work. I parked my car in the work parking lot at 8:01am. I was shocked but so excited! I knew this was God! I did not speed, in fact I drove real slow! Yet I got to work in 3 minutes! God is good! Thank you God for helping me get to work on time!
